My name is Erin O'Connor and I am from Salt Lake City, Utah. I attended and swam for the University of Utah and graduated with a degree in biology and anthropology in 2007. I moved to Thailand to teach English and scuba diving shorty after graduating. After 7 years of traveling and many countries in between, I am thrilled to be back home in Salt Lake City!

My journey to becoming an ISR instructor began in 2013 after witnessing the INCREDIBLE life saving skills ISR students learn.

I have been around the water for as long as I can remember: as a competitive swimmer, a lifeguard, a swim lesson instructor, a swim coach and a scuba dive master. I have worked with young children throughout my life; instructing swim lessons and coaching in Salt Lake, teaching English in South Korea and Thailand, teaching preschool in the U.S., and as a youth care worker in Canada.

ISR proved to be the perfect fit for me, putting together my passion for working with children and my love of the water. I completed my ISR training in Kentucky in 2013 and taught ISR lessons in Canada where my fiancee was finishing his MBA. I returned to Utah to become the first ISR instructor in the area in the summer of 2014.

Throughout my many years of experience in and around the water, I can honestly say Infant Swimming Resource offers the best, safest, and most effective Self-Rescue technique I have ever come across. I love my job and watching kids' confidence and smiles grow as they become aquatic problem solvers!
